Nigra hollyhock is a uniquely colored variety that has been around for nearly four hundred years. 4 to 6 feet tall stems bear chocolate-red, nearly black flowers. Large, single flowers attract butterflies and bees. Flowers are almost black on overcast days but will have a hint of red in the bright sun.
