Red Russian is a unique and pretty blue-green kale. Blue-green leaves are shaped like big oak leaves and are accented with purple veins and stems. The purple colors become richer after frost. It is much larger than regular kale, however the big leaves are still tender and delicious. Perfect for salads and light cooking. Red Russian is incredibly cold-tolerant; flavor improves with cold weather.
